QR scans come from.

A dynamic QR code is a QR code whose destination URL can be changed anytime, even after printing. Unlike static QR codes which encode the destination URL directly, dynamic QR codes encode a short redirect URL that points to our servers. When scanned, we redirect the visitor to the current destination URL, which you can update from your dashboard at any time.

Yes. The printed QR code always points to scanely.io/r/your-code. We handle the redirect on our servers, so changing the destination is instant - the printed QR code stays the same. You can update the destination URL from your dashboard anytime and the change takes effect globally within seconds.

Country, city, device type (mobile/desktop/tablet), browser, operating system, referrer, and timestamp. IP addresses are hashed for privacy - we never store raw IPs. Unique visitors are estimated from hashed IPs.

Scanely runs redirects on Cloudflare Workers. Actual timing depends on the network, destination and enabled features. On the Free plan, each redirect shows a Scanely screen for about one second first. Paid plans redirect directly.

Yes. Monthly and yearly subscriptions can be cancelled anytime from your dashboard with no cancellation fees. You keep the paid plan until the end of the period you already paid for, then your QR codes continue redirecting on the Free plan.

Reaching a monthly scan allowance does not disable redirects. On the Free plan, the first 1,000 scans each month include full analytics. After that, scans still redirect and are still counted up to twice the allowance, and details for the extra scans unlock on Starter. Paid plans keep recording scans with full analytics up to twice their allowance, then stop recording without stopping redirects. The owner is emailed at 80%, at 100%, and at that ceiling. Explicit pause, expiry and per-code scan caps still apply.

Yes. A static QR code from the generator downloads as PNG or SVG with no account, watermark or scan limit. The Free plan adds 3 dynamic QR codes with scan analytics, no credit card.

No. A static code carries the link in the pattern itself, so there is nothing to switch off. Dynamic codes on the Free plan redirect with no trial and no expiry date, even above the scan allowance. Read more: QR codes with no expiry

Paste the address in the QR code generator, choose colors and size, then download PNG or SVG. Check the code with a phone before printing.

A static code does not count scans. A dynamic Scanely QR code shows scans, country, city, device and time, and the link can be changed after printing. Three are included in the Free plan.

For print, choose SVG because it scales without losing sharpness, or the PDF from the print tool. A 1024 px PNG is enough for screens and small prints. Keep the blank border around the code.
